Ask for a Play Slip and pick 5 unique numbers, 1-59 (White) and 1 additional number 1-39 (Red Powerball) or ask for a Quick Pick (automatic selection).
Step 4
Watch the next drawing on WGN-TV (Wednesday or Saturday at 9:59c p.m.). Winning Numbers are published in most local newspapers and on the Winning Numbers Page.

If your numbers match, you could be a winner. If you play Powerball with Power Play® multiply your winnings by the Power Play® number selected for that drawing (see chart for more details)..

If two or more persons matching all six winning numbers that jackpot is shared equally among winners. Jackpot winner(s) will receive their prize in annual installments over a 29-year period unless, within 60 days from the date they claim their prize, they request the Cash Option method of payment. **Power Play® is a special feature that allows a winner to multiply the original prize amount. Powerball players can multiply their Powerball prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times (does not include the jackpot). The Match 5 prize with Power Play option will always be multiplied 5X’s for $1 million cash. Note that any set prizes or Power Play prizes, including the Match 5+0 prize, may be reduced if wins exceed the available prize fund. We pick the Power Play multiplier number at random before each draw. A player must choose the Power Play option when they buy their Powerball ticket.
