November 27, 2012 – Lake Zurich, IL – Dean Denges is the Lottery’s newest Lucky Day Lotto winner. The Lake Zurich resident matched all five numbers – 06 - 09 – 19 – 29 – 34 – in the November 23 drawing and won $150,000. “I play the number 29 because our wedding anniversary is April 29. The other numbers were just randomly chosen and whenever I play the Lottery, I play these numbers. It really paid off!”
After going out for dinner with friends, Denges was at home when he checked the winning Lucky Day Lotto numbers on the Illinois Lottery website. “My wife didn’t believe me, she even called our friends to have them double check the numbers,” Denges said.
Denges and his wife Aline have four children and seven grandchildren. Their plans for the winnings include paying bills and making some home improvements. Five years ago, the couple started their own cleaning business. “It hasn’t been easy in this economy but now, because of this Lottery win, we can breathe a little easier,” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Minuteman Citgo located at 24112 North Rand Road in Lake Zurich. The store will receive a $1,500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Drawings are seven days a week with over 35,000 winners every day. That’s over 200,000 winners in Illinois every week! The Lucky Day Lotto drawing takes place every night at 9:22 p.m. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com
