Ask a clerk for a play slip and pick your 5 unique numbers between 1 and 56 (White). Then, pick 1 additional number between 1 and 46 (Mega Ball). You can also ask the clerk for a Quick Pick and have your numbers automatically selected for you.

The base Mega Millions game is $1. You can multiply your winnings by adding Megaplier® for an additional $1 per game. Mega Millions tickets may be purchased until 9:00pm on the night of the drawing. Tickets purchased after that time will be eligible for the next drawing.
Mega Millions jackpots start at $12 million and grow quickly with each roll. There are nine ways to win and you can win up to $1,000,000 with Megaplier®!

*The advertised grand prize is payable in 26 annual installments. However, within 60 days after the drawing, the winner may elect to receive the cash value of the prize in one lump-sum payment. **You can win even more with Megaplier®, a special feature that allows a winner to multiply the original prize amount. Mega Millions players can multiply their Mega Millions prizes by 2, 3 or 4 times (does not include the jackpot). The Match 5 white balls prize (with Megaplier® option) will always be multiplied 4X’s for $1 million cash. A player must choose the Megaplier option when they buy their Mega Millions ticket.
Drawing Times
Mega Millions drawings are conducted Tuesday and Friday evenings (10:00 p.m. Central Time) by the Georgia Lottery.
One drawing machine is available for the 5/56 portion of Mega Millions drawing and one machine is available for the 1/46 portion of Mega Millions drawing. If either machine is out of service, the Georgia Lottery's Lotto drawing machine is reprogrammed for Mega Millions drawing. The particular ball set to be used for each component of a given Mega Millions drawing is determined by random selection from among the available ball sets.
Prior to each Mega Millions drawing, the Georgia Lottery's Drawing Specialist conducts 3 test drawings with each machine. The balls are then re-racked in random order and the machine resealed until the official drawing is conducted. After the official drawing, 2 more test draws are conducted with each machine to ensure the validity of the official drawing results.

Payout Details
The prize payout information for Mega Millions will be updated by Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 12:30AM CST, following scheduled drawings.
The Payout information must be verified by all participating states before being released. E-mailing the Illinois Lottery will NOT speed up this process.
